![]() ![]() Maybe in their testing, setting it lower just makes it incompatible with a few devices and they'd rather have a slow remote that works on everything vs. I really have no idea why in the world harmony would set the default to IR repeat to 3. ![]() This will making clicking through your projectors menu a PITA cause it'll be super slow with an extra long inter-key delay but it'll mean your sequence to send only 2 powertoggle signals might start working. your projector is probably designed with a delay after receiving a powertoggle IR signal before accepting a second powertoggle IR signal to prevent accidental shut offs if someone holds down the power button for too long or pressing too quickly. Increasing the IR Repeat setting might help in your case but my guess is that you probably need to increase the inter-key delay. Harmony is easily the worst IR universal remote control system in existence, except for all the other ones. I wonder if the IR Repeat setting, which I didn't know existed, is the problem here. This is especially annoying because it's unresponsive to the remote while it is cooling and waiting to restart I have to stand around for two or three minutes to wait for it to finish licking itself, then turn it off again manually. Oh, how I wish there were discrete on and off codes.īut every now and then, the projector really loses its mind, and instead of turning off, it goes into a mode where the lamp turns off, the fans go into cooling mode, and then it turns itself back on again in a couple of minutes. So I have power-off set to "power toggle" "power toggle" "power toggle" "power toggle" - four times, and it turns off fairly reliably. Only that doesn't actually work, because even if you set that sequence in the Harmony software, I think the remote must be sending something else between the two power toggle codes, because the projector gets confused, pops up the power-off confirmation screen twice, and never turns off. The projector's power-off sequence involves sending the "power toggle" code twice. I'm hoping it might actually solve a DIFFERENT problem I have, which involves my projector. ![]()
